How do you make small text you can copy and paste?
Changing a font size needs formatting, and bios, usernames and most social fields do not have any. This tool gets a small look by swapping each letter for a different character from Unicode that is drawn small. The result is ordinary text, so it stays small when you copy and paste it.
There are two kinds of small text here. Superscript text raises tiny letters above the line, the way footnote numbers look. Small caps keeps capital letter shapes but draws them at about lowercase height.
What is the difference between superscript and small caps?
The two options look different and suit different jobs:
- Superscript maps a to z and 0 to 9 to raised characters, for example ᵃᵇᶜ and ⁰¹². It looks like tiny text sitting high on the line and is good for a small tagline, a footnote mark or a decorative accent.
- Small caps (ᴀʙᴄ) looks like capital letters scaled down to lowercase height. It stays on the baseline, reads more easily and suits short labels or names.
Which letters can become tiny text?
In the superscript style, the lowercase letters a to z and the digits 0 to 9 are converted. Uppercase letters are converted to the lowercase superscript look, because that is the form that exists. The letter q has no common superscript form in Unicode, so it stays as a normal q inside the word. Spaces and punctuation are left alone.
Letters with accents or marks, including Turkish ç, ğ, ı, ö, ş, ü and İ, have no tiny version and stay plain, so they will look larger than the rest of the word. Small caps follows the same rule.
Where can you use small text, and what should you watch for?
It works in most places that accept plain text: social bios, captions, comments, chat messages, usernames and documents. Some fields restrict unusual characters, so paste your text and check the preview before you save. Some older devices draw a box instead of a tiny letter.
Keep it short. Screen readers may spell out tiny letters one by one, and a word written this way will not match a search for the plain word. On X, most of these characters count as 2, so check the length with the character counter. For other decorative looks, try the fancy text generator.

Frequently asked questions
How do I make tiny text?
Type your text, click the copy button next to the superscript or small caps row, and paste it where you want it. Nothing needs to be installed.
Why is the letter q not small in superscript?
Unicode has no common superscript form of q, so the tool leaves it as a normal q rather than inserting a character that may not display.
Do uppercase letters stay uppercase in superscript?
No. Uppercase letters are converted to the lowercase superscript look, since a separate full set of superscript capitals does not exist in Unicode.
Does small text work with Turkish letters?
Partly. Basic Latin letters are converted, but ç, ğ, ı, ö, ş, ü and İ have no tiny form and stay plain-sized.
Is this a real font size?
No. These are Unicode characters that are drawn small. That is why they work in places where you cannot change a font size, and why they copy and paste as they are.
Is this small text generator free, and is my text stored?
It is free and needs no account. The conversion runs in your browser and your text is never sent to a server.
