Free Twitter / X tools
Small tools for writing on X. None of them needs an account. The character counter and the thread generator run entirely in your browser; the shadowban checker looks up public X data on our server.
Twitter character counter
Counts your post the way X does — links as 23, emoji and CJK as 2 — against the 280-character limit and the 25,000 limit for X Premium.
Paste a draft and the counter shows how X will measure it, not how a word processor would. X uses a weighted length: most letters count as 1, Chinese, Japanese and Korean characters count as 2, every emoji counts as 2 even when it is built from several code points, and every link counts as exactly 23 because X wraps it in t.co. Attached photos, videos and polls don't count. A Premium switch checks long posts against the 25,000-character limit.
When to use it: before posting a tightly edited tweet, or a post with several links and emoji, when the number in your notes app and the number X shows don't match.
Twitter thread generator
Splits long text into numbered tweets that each fit the 280-character limit, breaking at paragraphs and sentences, with a live preview.
Paste an article, a newsletter section or rough notes and the generator splits it into tweets that each stay within 280 characters, counted with X's rules. It fills each tweet as far as the limit allows, then cuts at the end of a paragraph, a sentence or, if needed, between two words; words and links are never cut in half. Tweets can be numbered as “1/5”, as “1/” or not at all, and the space a number takes is reserved before splitting.
When to use it: when an idea is too long for one post: turning a blog post into a thread, sharing a step-by-step guide, or seeing where a draft will break before you paste it into X one tweet at a time.
Twitter shadowban checker
Tests whether your recent posts show up in X search and whether your account appears in search suggestions. No login needed.
Enter a username and the checker tests the two restrictions that can be measured from outside X. For a search ban, it takes your latest original posts and runs a “from:username” search sorted by latest; if X returns nothing for an active account, your posts are hidden from search. For a search suggestion ban, it looks your username up in X's people search. Ghost bans and reply deboosting depend on the viewer, so they are marked as not measurable instead of guessed.
When to use it: when your reach drops suddenly, when people say they can't find your account in search, or after a burst of activity such as many follows or replies in a short time. No sign-up needed; each visitor can run 5 checks a day.
Twitter font generator
Turns text into bold, italic, script, gothic and 16 more Unicode styles, shows how X counts each one and copies it in one click.
LinkedIn text formatter
Makes selected words bold or italic, adds bullet and numbered lists, and previews roughly where “…see more” cuts your post.
Fake tweet generator
Builds a realistic X post mockup with badge, image, views and likes in light, dim or dark mode, and downloads it as a PNG.
What happens to your data
The character counter and the thread generator are plain browser code: no account, no AI model and no server call. Counting and splitting follow X's own counting rules (twitter-text). The shadowban checker works differently because it has to ask X: the username you enter is sent to our server, which reads public profile, post and search data through a third-party X data provider. It never asks for a password or a login, and results for the same account are cached for up to 6 hours.
